Back in 2019, a request to NYC Parks for pergolas was made as a solution to the lack of shade trees within the dog runs. This request was granted, but delayed due the COVID-19 pandemic.
In early 2022, the pergola structures were finally installed in both dog run areas. With the help of donations from the community, we were able to purchase and install shade coverings to the top of the pergolas, which will provide much needed shade throughout the day.
